I offer several author services to help you get published.

Self-publishing a picture book - or any other kind of book for that matter - can be overwhelming! It's impossible to know how to do everything right at the beginning of the process - so you may need some guidance along the way - and hopefully I can be of service to you.

 

I've been there - where you are now - wondering what to do next. I've spent thousand on courses, webinars and training to learn everything that's involved - and I'd love to share all this knowledge with you.

I have had over 90 books published with traditional publishers and I've self-published five picture books, five activity books and three information books. I've also worked in the educational publishing industry for 12 years so I have a lot of publishing experience.

Individual consultation sessions

These sessions are for people who want to get into the nitty gritty of how to do things. I can help you find an editor, illustrator and book designer, for example. I can help you upload your book to Amazon and work out keywords and descriptions. I can help with marketing, social media, finding a printer and so on.

 

I am happy to read your manuscript before the session, but please note I do not offer critiques or editing services. My role is to answer your questions, source the people or resources you need and guide you on the next stages of the self-publishing process.

 

Although the session is limited to 40 minutes, there will be follow-up work for me to do - and this usually involves email correspondence with you.

Gold Consultation Package

This package is for someone who needs a more personalised and targeted consultation program - to bring your picture book from first draft to publication.

​

I will help you at each stage of your author journey in order to successfully launch your picture book.

​

It includes:

• 10 one-on-one zoom sessions of 40min each - for one year from date of commencement

• 20 email support follow-ups - for that same period

• 10 done-for-you marketing images that can be used in social media posts etc

• Help with setting up your author accounts

• Sourcing editors and illustrators for you

• Sample author/illustrator contracts

• Picture research support for non-fiction books

• Front and back covers done for you - created by a professional children's book designer

• Print-ready pdf of your book
